Samoa Bridge Closed Due to Car Accident

SAMOA, Ca. (KIEM) – An accident last night has led to the closure of a popular area thoroughfare today.

Samoa Boulevard was closed this morning after a car smashed into a power pole just after 11 o’clock last night. It happened west of Jackson Ranch Road.

Power and phone lines have created a hazard across the roadway and preventing traffic from passing through the area.

Instead, drivers between Manila and Arcata were detoured over the Samoa Bridge through Eureka.

The road was reopened shortly before 10 A.M.
