Teenager shot dead at Eureka residence

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-A teenager is dead after he was shot in Eureka. It happened just before 7:30 pm Tuesday when Eureka police were dispatched for a disturbance at a residence on the 2200 block of Union Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 17-year old boy with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died. Eureka police told Redwood News one shot was fired in the home.

No suspects are believed to be outstanding.
