New Bill Could Reduce Cost of Health Care in California

Assemblymember Jim Wood

Sacramento, Ca. (KIEM) – The cost of healthcare could be lowered thanks to new bills that have been introduced into the California legislature.

California Assemblymember Jim Wood introduced a new bill to reduce the cost of health care coverage for people who use covered California.

The bill AB 2347 would lower the maximum payment percentage of income that Californians would need to pay for coverage by providing subsidies.

The effort is being supported in the Senate by the Chair of the Senate Health Committee Richard Pan with the bill SB 65.
