Governor Newsom Discusses California’s Covid-19 Response

SACRAMENTO, Ca. (KIEM) – Governor Newsom along with state health and emergency officials announced that they will release millions of n-95 filtering face masks for use in low risk health settings to help combat the shortages caused by Covid-19.

Some of the masks are past their use-by date but have been stored in climate-controlled conditions that are said to preserve the masks. There are currently 13 labs with kits to test for Covid-19 in California,

43 positive tests, and over residents who are 9,200 self-monitoring for symptoms.

California now has thousands of test kits and the governor has requested $20 million dollars to stop the spread of the virus.
