Two women Arrested in Prostitution Sting

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Two women are arrested after Eureka police department conducted a prostitution sting

An investigation was launched into alleged acts of prostitution taking place at a residence in the 400 Block of West Creighton street in Eureka which revealed that occupants of the residence were using an online escort web page called, “skipthegames” to solicit clients for prostitution.

39-year-old Suntalena Downs, and 52-year-old Michelle Casanas, both of Eureka, were found to be on the website as escorts and were contacted via text by detectives. 

A verbal agreement of services was reached, detectives then executed a search warrant and evidence was seized as well as evidence associated with narcotics use and sales.

Downs and Casanas were both arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for prostitution and maintaining a drug house.
