OAKLAND, Ca (KIEM)-The Grand Princess cruise ship has docked at the Port of Oakland. 21 people aboard the ship tested positive for coronavirus — preventing the ship from docking in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Among two of the passengers are Eureka residents Tim and Mary Crumley.

Passengers were expected to disembark Monday. Flights and buses will take them to military bases in California, Texas and Georgia, where they will be quarantined for 14 days. With thousands aboard, the process to disembark could take several days.

19 infected crew members will be quarantined and treated aboard the ship.

The Crumley’s have had to stay in their room since Thursday and can’t wait to get off the ship. They will then be transported to Travis Airforce Base for 14 days.
