Covid-19 Updates: Humboldt State University and The College Of The Redwoods

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA. (KIEM) – Humboldt state suspends travel and the college of the redwoods extends spring break by an additional week in light of the covid-19 state of emergency in humboldt county.

The Covid-19 outbreak, College of the Redwoods is suspending classes beginning March 23rd following spring break. This includes the eureka and Del Norte and Klamath trinity campus. The residence halls will remain open for students who live in campus.

And over in Arcata, Humboldt State University has suspended all university-related international travel and non-essential domestic travel anywhere in America outside of Humboldt County.

These guidelines were made to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and are effective immediately. They will be in place for the rest of the spring semester.

This applies to all areas of the university including auxiliary programs, as well as all staff members and students.
