Local Schools Are Preparing For Covid-19.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA. (KIEM) – While there is no known community transmission of the virus in Humboldt County.

A planning committee has been formed to prepare in advance should the virus become widespread in the area.

On Wednesday, over 45 superintendents, educators, health care professionals and staff met at the Humboldt County Office of Education to discuss school preparedness.

At this point in time, there has been no need to close or quarantine schools in Humboldt County. The planning committee is preparing in advance in case the situation changes.
