Fire at Eureka motel

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-A motel fire is quickly brought under control by Humboldt Bay Fire.

Crews responded just before midnight Friday to the Flamingo Motel located on 4200 block of Broadway in Eureka. When firefighters arrived on scene, smoke and flames were coming from one of the units at the motel.

The blaze was quickly brought under control.

While the cause is under investigation, Redwood News witnessed a man trying to stop a woman who he said, started the fire.

Humboldt Bay Fire said the damage was limited to the one room.
