Sequoia Park had a few visitors amid shelter-in-place order

Eureka resident Mallory Cunningham and her dog Charley walk through Sequoia Park.

EUREKA, Ca (KEIM) – With shelter-in-place enacted, parks and recreation facilities are quiet but we went to Sequoia Park on Friday to see how quiet it really was.

A few residents were found walking around for a breath of fresh air or to get some exercise. But, most that visited the park today were walking their dogs.

The playground was taped off and the signs posted around the park asked visitors to be mindful of Covid-19 precautions, including keeping a six feet distance from one another and washing your hands before visiting.
