California State Parks Announce Temporary Closures to Vehicle Access

SACRAMENTO, Ca. (KIEM) – California state parks has announced the temporarily closures to vehicle access at all 280 state parks to prevent the spread of covid-19.

That order went into effect Saturday, due to continued over-crowding at state parks making it impossible for the public to implement appropriate social distancing practices.

The public is reminded to comply with the following guidelines:

  • Stay close to home when you get outdoors
  • Venture out only with people in your immediate household
  • Walk around the neighborhood and enjoy neighborhood parks
  • Always maintain a physical distance of 6 feet or more”
  • Do not congregate in parks
