Humboldt County: Total Number of Confirmed Covid-19 cases Reaches 18

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Four additional cases of covid-19 were confirmed Saturday, bringing the new total to 18 local cases since the outbreak first began.

Humboldt county health officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich says staff is working through the weekend on the investigations, and more information is expected next week.

A shelter-in-place order remains in effect in the county through April 9.

Humboldt county has received additional supplies, which means the public health lab currently has a capacity of approximately 550 tests and can process about 40 samples a day with an approximate turnaround time of 48 hours.
