Number of Positive Covid-19 Cases Continues to Rise in Humboldt County

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – As of Saturday there are 4 new positive cases of Covid-19 confirmed.

The total number of positive cases in Humboldt County now stands at 44, with 3 hospitalizations.

The Public Health Laboratory currently has a capacity of approximately 600 tests and can process about 50 samples a day with an approximate turnaround time of 48 to 72 hours.

Test results provided by the Public Health Lab will be made available 6 days a week, Monday – Saturday.

Approximately 84% of the cases are located in areas of Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville and Fortuna.

43% are men while 57% are women.

The average age is 44.
