EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – Humboldt County emergency medical technicians and paramedics have recently received disease focused training.

Despite the one to two semester long training’s that medical personnel are used to attending, they have put in extra hours as they shift focus to how their response calls might change with the rapid increase of COVID-19.

Most of the extra training’s are taking place remotely, but some procedural practices are being done in single or small groups.

With 70 EMT’s and paramedics across Del Norte and Humboldt County, our local medical personnel are responding on the front line of this pandemic every day.
