Brownouts Cause Arcata Fire District Station to Temporarily Close

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)- The Arcata Fire District Station in downtown Arcata is closed until April 16th.

The decision was made  because of the failed measure r which would have provided much needed funding to the fire district.

With the closed station, fire personnel now have to travel further for calls to the downtown area. The brownouts started at the beginning of the month.
