Election Update: 2nd District Supervisor Race Still Close

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM)– The Humboldt County Office of Elections just released a 5th post-election update.

Working with a limited staff they were able to send out another post-election report that includes confirmed provisional and conditional votes. The Secretary of State has extended the deadline for final numbers to April 23rd.

For the Second District Supervisor race, incumbent Estelle Fennell still leads challenger Michelle Bushnell 47.5% to 31.1% Its a difference of around 13 hundred votes. With more votes still needed to be counted, to force a runoff, the winner needs 50  plus one percent of the vote.
