Residents Can Apply for a Penalty Waiver for Property Taxes

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM)- Residents may apply for a penalty waiver if they are unable to complete their 2019-2020 property taxes due to Covid-19.

If residents can demonstrate they have gone through economic hardship from the disease, they will not receive a late penalty as long as they send a payment via online between tomorrow through June 10th of this summer.

Residents must fill out the Affidavit for Penalty Exemption Due to COVID-19 form found at humboldtgov.org.
