Del Norte County Sheriff Gets Promoted to Operations Lieutenant

CRESCENT CITY, Ca. (KIEM)-Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office has a new Operations Lieutenant.

Sergeant Dan Schneck was promoted today and was given the oath of office by Sherigg Apperson.

Lieutenant Schneck will now be in command of the operations division.

He has worked with the Del Norte Sheriff’s Office since 1999 when he started as a deputy sheriff, and has worked as a School Resource Officer, Marine Patrol, Narcotics Investigator, Swat Operator, Detective Sergeant, and more.

He has also been recognized for his excellence as deputy and supervisor of the year.
