Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM)- A $10,000 reward is now offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for shooting at a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Early Monday morning, the deputy noticed a black motorcycle with no license plate that seemed disabled on the side of State Route 36.  The sheriff’s office said a passenger on the motorcycle then shot at the deputy and hit the windshield causing minor injuries to the deputy.

The motorcycle then fled and was able to get away. The passenger is described as wearing a dark helmet with a red jacket.

The reward is made possible thanks to the National Police Association, Fortuna Police, and the Humboldt Deputy Sheriff’s Organization.

Anyone who has information is asked to call the sheriff’s office.
