Sequoia Humane Society manages changes, especially Maci, amid COVID-19

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM) – While the Sequoia Humane Society remains closed with the shelter in place order, the staff is doing their best to keep all of the animals happy, healthy and well provided for.

Almost all of the adoptable animals have been placed in foster homes and the shelter is still completing no-contact adoptions on an appointment only basis.

The shelter has recently completed an apprenticeship through Maddie’s Fund which allowed the establishment of an emergency foster care program.

The Sequoia Humane Society is also focused on raising money for five year-old mixed terrier Maci who just experienced an emergency surgery on her egg-sized bladder stone.

Her fundraiser page can be found on Sequoia Humane Society’s Facebook page or on Waggle: https://pets.waggle.org/pet/dog/california-terrier,mix-42918aad046de7654eec542d?fbclid=IwAR2-lrLFD-LocSphG8uHmjcEZf6bmMm513PKIBR1z37-95zeREKNYmyUoVU
