ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM)- A High School senior hasn’t missed a single day in the classroom until the Covid-19 crisis. Unable to attend classes onsite, Sydnie Frisbie, like many of her classmates are missing out on activities such as the prom and graduation.

It’s not every day that a graduating senior can say they’ve attended every class, exam, and school event in their academic careers.

Arcata High graduating senior Sydnie Frisbie would have made it all 13 school years with perfect attendance, but due to the shelter in place order that came to a halt. Frisbie comes from a family that appreciates the school system.

Frisbie states, “My mom was a teacher and now she’s the principal at Washington Elementary and my dad’s a teacher at a college over in Mount Shasta and my sister is also a teacher so education is just something that’s ingrained in my family”

Sydnie plans to attend Shasta College in the Fall where she wants to major in business.
