Local Musicians Join Forces for “Alone, Together” Song and Music Video

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) – A group of local artists is coming together during this difficult time through the power of music and technology, and the song “Alone, Together” was born.

It’s gathered thousands of views online and shown how we can still stay connected during this difficult time. For Lila Nelson, a nurse currently working in the bay area, it was a way for her to connect with old friends while she is self-isolating and living away from her husband and 7-year-old daughter.

It all started with Supervisor Mike Wilson and an idea he had a few weeks back. A chorus was written and posted online. Songwriter John Elliott didn’t think anything would come from it.

Then, it took off and it grew much larger than the core group of 3 musicians had ever imagined. Even Congressman Jared Huffman showed off his guitar and vocal skills for the song. Participants ranged in skill level, but the talent is undeniable.
