Large garage destroyed by fire in Jacoby Creek

JACOBY CREEK, Ca (KIEM)-A large garage is damaged by fire in Jacoby Creek near the Baywood Golf and Country Club.

The Arcata Fire District along with other agencies responded just before 1:30 pm Tuesday on Splinter Road.

According to a witness, a large explosion was heard near the scene and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office was also called to the scene.

The cause is under investigation.
