Warrant Served for Cannabis Cultivation in Dinsmore Area

DINSMORE, Ca. (KIEM) – A warrant is served for cannabis cultivation in the Dinsmore area.

On Wednesday, sheriff deputies from the Marijuana Enforcement Team along with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Humboldt county code enforcement, the Humboldt County Environmental Health, and Hazmat Unit served the warrant.

During the investigation of the parcel, deputies eradicated approximately 1,170 cannabis plants.

The parcel did not possess the required county permit and state license for commercial cannabis cultivation.

The assisting agencies found multiple violations, including failure to label hazardous waste, failure to close hazardous waste containers, failure to report and prevent a hazardous materials release, improper storage and removal of solid waste, commercial cannabis ordinance, and building without a permit.

The current violations have a total of $200,600 per day in fines and additional violations with civil fines expected to be filed.
