Fire destroys two travel trailers in Crescent City

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM)-An early-morning fire in Crescent City destroys two travel trailers and two others are damaged.

Crescent City Fire and Rescue responded just after 2 am Thursday at Elk Valley Storage.

Firefighters cut through a fence to gain access and located two 5th wheel travel trailers fully engulfed in flames and spreading to additional trailers. To make matters worse, propane cylinders were located in one of the trailers, with more propane between the storage container and a threatened trailer.

Three engines were used to fight the flames from different locations and the fire was controlled  in 20 minutes.

Authorities say the fire is suspicious and damage is estimated at $10,000.
