City of Eureka asking for face mask donations, for homeless population

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM)-The City of Eureka is asking community members help the homeless population by donating masks.

Face coverings are now required while out in public to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.

With the new guideline the City of Eureka wants to ensure the most vulnerable community members have the means to comply.

Reusable masks, homemade masks, bandanas and elastic hair ties will be accepted.

All donations can be dropped off outside Eureka City Hall’s main entrance from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who drop off donations are asked to wear a facial covering to help reduce the spread of covid-19.
