EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM)-A day of giving, normally held after holidays has been moved due to Covid-19.

“Giving Tuesday Now” is an international day of charitable giving normally held the beginning of Christmas and the holiday season.

As an emergency response to the extraordinary need caused by Covid-19 the event was moved to spring.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast Executive Director says their program is an essential service, without donations and community support local youth could miss out on a life-changing mentor.

Most importantly, today is about giving back to non-profits, no matter the organization.
