Two people found dead after reported shooting in Crescent City

CRESCENT CITY, Ca. (KIEM)-A man and woman, said to be in their 50’s, were found dead inside a Crescent City home Sunday.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Turnbull Lane for a report of a shooting at about 9:30 this morning.

Early stages of the investigation have revealed the two deceased people did not live in the house they were found in, however, the man did live on the property.

Statements and evidence indicate the man and woman found dead forced their way into the residence with their dog, then assaulted the two people that occupied the home. 

No arrests have been made at this time.

The two people that were occupying the residence are cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
