Eureka City Manager, Dean Lotter, Set to Resign

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — In a special meeting planned for Tuesday night, Eureka City Manager Dean Lotter is offering his resignation to the city council.

Lotter was placed on administrative leave earlier this month with no information released as to why. He took on the new role in January after former City Manager Greg Sparks retired in December.

Moving forward, Pam Powell will serve as acting city manager. According to Powell, councilmembers will begin holding special meetings within the next week to determine steps moving forward.

The special meeting begins Tuesday at 4:30 pm. It can be viewed online on the City of Eureka’s website.
