Eureka City Manager, Dean Lotter, Resigns

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Eureka City Manager Dean Lotter has resigned.

At a special council meeting Tuesday evening, Lotter offered his resignation to the council and a separation agreement has been reached.

He was placed on administrative leave earlier this month. Due to it being a personnel issue, more information will not be released at this time. He took on the new role at the start of the year after Greg Sparks’s retirement in December.

Moving forward, Pam Powell will serve as acting city manager. Within the next week, council members will begin holding special meetings to determine next steps for filling the now vacant roll.
