Protesters Say Humboldt Is Not Opening Fast Enough

After several weeks of protesting at the Humboldt County Courthouse, once again protesters lined the street along 5th Street protesting the rules and regulations Humboldt has put in place.

With over 400 business locally in compliance and given the go ahead to open up, the county is taking steps every day to safely ease the COVID-19 restriction.

Sheriff William Honsal says stage 3 of re-opening is coming soon.

Many signs at the rally mentioned religious gatherings which came at the same time as President Trump deems churches and places of worship as essential.

Protesters however say it’s not quick enough. Rally organizer David Franceschi refused to speak to Redwood News this week on camera.
