Kinetic Sculpture in Place hosted over livestream

With the Kinetic Sculpture Race cancelled this year, coordinators decided they could not let Humboldt County start a summer without some kind of Kinetic, Grand Slam event.

The Kinetic Sculpture in Place event was created, moving the competition online via livestream on YouTube and Facebook.

Contestants were asked to send in entry videos, with a live element incorporated in the competition.

Judges watch at home as they calculate points for art, pageantry and more.

Memorial Day is the final day of competition and in the afternoon, judges will announce the first ever “Kinetic Sculpture in Place” winners.
