Thousands of Cards Received for Residents in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties Long-Term Care Facilities

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Thousands of cards were received for residents in long-term care facilities in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.

Within just weeks, Area One Agency on Aging has received roughly 2,000 cards, drawings and art pieces to distribute to residents living in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties Long-Term Care Facilities.

Due to covid-19, local long-term care facilities have temporarily stopped welcoming visitors, and with many residents experiencing isolation during this time, the agency decided to have people send some cheer.

Cards and boxes have been received from states as far as Hawaii and Kentucky.
