Young Man Falls Off Rocks into Ocean at Elk Head in Trinidad, Still Missing

TRINIDAD, Ca. (KIEM) – A young man is missing after falling into the ocean outside of Trinidad on Thursday.

According to witnesses in the area, the incident occurred at Elk Head which is roughly a mile north of Trinidad head.

Sometime around 2:00 p.m. coast guard helicopters were seen checking out the area.

Witnesses say area lifeguards and members of the West Haven Volunteer Fire Department also assisted in the search.

As of Thursday evening, there has been no word on if the young man has been rescued.
