Local Woman Donates over 400 Handmade Face Masks

LOLETA, Ca. (KIEM)- Former  Nurse Christine Lougher has been busy these days giving back to her community. In the past two months alone, she has donated over four-hundred masks to St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Lukes, the Lolita Fire Department, and community members.

Lougher uses the same exact sewing machine she had when she was younger to make the masks and has been sewing since she was sixteen.

Lougher states the decision to help out the community was easy and she was delighted to do so.
