HCSO Investigates Suspicious Object in Freshwater, Contents Determined to be Safe

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is called out to investigate a suspicious object in Freshwater.

Thursday evening just after 7 pm, a community member contact the Sheriff’s Office to report a suspicious object discovered the 5800 block of Myrtle Avenue in Freshwater. The explosive ordnance disposal team responded to the scene to investigate. Deputies x-rayed the object and determined the contents to be safe. There is no perceived threat to the public at this time.
