EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM)- The Humboldt County Emergency services center gave the ok for barber shops and salons to reopen their doors in the county. After being closed for a few months, Elkes Total Image Hair Salon had a busy day from the moment they opened their doors this morning.
The hair salon is limiting the amount of people allowed inside the salon at a time. This will be to help reduce the possible risk of exposure between staff and clients.
For those who have an appointment, no other guest or children will be allowed to accompany you. Elderly clients who need assistance and children can be accompanied by one adult.
The salon asks that if you have an appointment and are experiencing flu like symptoms, you must reschedule.
As it currently stands, there is no waiting area inside the salon. You may have to wait in your vehicle and be called once your stylist is ready for you. Store Owner Gerhy Foster says staff will be putting in long hours to makeup for the time lost during the shelter in place order.
