Local Woman Finds Unique Way to Support the Black Community

EUREKA, Calif, (KIEM)-Aundrea Stuckey is a born and raised Humboldt County native. Her burning passion for helping others began at a young age.

Following the recent death of George Floyd just two weeks ago, she wanted to do something to help the black community in a time when they need it most. She has partnered up with Black Humboldt and other local community members to provide free gift baskets black families and community members.

Stuckey feels that now more than ever with racial divides throughout the nation, giving back is the simplest way to put a smile on others faces.

Her baskets have an array of items inside of them, ranging from visa gift cards, bath bombs, and t-shirts. She plans on giving away fifty gift baskets on Juneteenth, a day that celebrates when slavery was abolished in the United States.
