Eureka City Schools Offer Free Summer Meals Program

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- To help fight food insecurity during the Covid-19 pandemic, Eureka city schools will continue their efforts to provide free meals to children in the community with their summer meal program.

The meals are in effort to continue curbside food pickup that started back in March

Meals can be picked up at Alice Birney Elementary, Grant Elementary, Lafayette Elementary, Washington elementary, and Eureka High School.

Meals will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and two days worth of meals will be distributed on Monday and Friday.

The meals will go to children eighteen and younger, and children will not need an adult to accompany them during pickup.
