Racing set to return to Redwood Acres this July

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — The 2020 racing season at Redwood Acres is one step closer to getting underway.

Raceway officials had to cancel the June 20th race due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the fourth race of the current season to not take place.

Dr. Frankovich has given the go-ahead for racing to return at the Acres on July 11th with the 2020 season kicking off with the Firecracker 100.

All five local divisions will be in action: the legends, mini stocks, bombers, bandoleros and roadrunners. Out-of-town race teams will also be allowed to compete.

Right now, it’s unsure if fans will be able to attend this event or future events. A test and tune is scheduled for July 10th. More information, including safety guidelines for social distancing, will be released soon. For updates, you can follow RAR on Facebook.
