Supplemental shelter in place order issued for Humboldt County

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Frankovich issues a supplemental shelter in place order adding more business sectors to the list of places permitted to open.

The order includes recently opened businesses, such as dine-in restaurants, retail, campgrounds, and rv parks. While dine-in restaurants can open, bars have not yet been approved to re-open. It also clarifies requirements for hotels and short-term rentals when it comes to care for guests who become ill.

Per the order, fitness centers are slated to begin re-opening the first week of July, but a precise timeline for places like movie theaters, family entertainment centers, museums, galleries, and zoos has not been set yet.
