Cooperation Humboldt Plants 100 Mini Gardens for Community Members

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- Cooperation Humboldt’s mini garden volunteers have helped plant over one-hundred gardens all throughout Humboldt County.

The project started just a couple months ago and thanks to volunteers of the local non-profit and funds through the county, many families and individuals in the community now have a garden of their own.

Residents are put on a list if they would like a garden. They can then choose what type of food they would like to put in their garden. Some of the food choices include strawberries, potatoes, peas, and carrots.

Cooperation Humboldt is still in need of volunteers to help. If you would like to help visit their website.
