2020 Eureka Street Art Festival still on, but with some changes

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — The 2020 Eureka Street Art Festival is still happening this year, but things will be done a little differently.

From August 10th to the 15th murals will begin popping up throughout the city with this year focusing on the Henderson Center neighborhood.

Due to covid-19, the block party and other large gatherings are postponed, but artists will still be painting, all while following local and state health guidelines.

People can walk through Henderson Center throughout the week to watch the painting in progress or try out one of the virtual daily art walks that will be live-streamed on Facebook.

There will also be a self-guided walking tour available on the Eureka Street Art Festival website and social media leading up to the event.
