EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – An honoring, yet sad sight to see took place at the intersection of West Hawthorne and Union Street in Eureka Tuesday evening.
That is where a man died after his motorcycle collided with a van last week, unfortunately leading to his death.
Although the identity of the motorcyclist hasn’t been officially released, the community still paid homage to one of their own.
Dozens of local motorcyclists joined the family and friends of the deceased man, honoring him and talking about the importance of riding safely.
According to EPD, the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, unavoidably preventing the rider from colliding with the van. However, officials say the incident is still under investigation.
