More business sectors set to reopen, including gyms and fitness centers

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Another handful of industry sectors have been given the go-ahead to reopen after being certified by the Emergency Operations Center.

These include places like gyms and fitness centers, zoos and museums, wineries, breweries and bars, and movie theaters and family entertainment centers.

Reopening plan applications for these sectors are available this Friday, June 26th. The review process takes roughly 2 or 3 business days. Then once certification is received, businesses can open their doors back up.

The Humboldt County Emergency Operations Center wants to remind residents that places like live theaters, concert venues, and festivals are still not permitted by the state to reopen and remain closed statewide.
