2 new Covid-19 cases reported Friday, total case count now at 129

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Two additional Covid-19 cases have been confirmed by the Public Health Department Friday.

Of the 129 total cases since the pandemic began, 22 are from Northern Humboldt, 103 are from the greater Humboldt Bay region and 4 are from Southern Humboldt. Right now, there are 5 cases still under investigation.The percentage of cases among men and women, as well as the average age, has not changed at all.

The largest increase this week was among people in their 20’s, that number has jumped from 15 to 21. Two more people in their 30’s, 4 more people in their 40’s, and 1 person in their 70’s have tested positive. The younger crowd has also seen an increase of positive cases, specifically 4 more people under the age of 20.
