3 new Covid-19 cases, 1 more hospitalization reported Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Three new cases of Covid-19 are reported by the Public Health Department Wednesday.

Two of the cases had contact to a known case and the other is still under investigation. Of the total cases, 61.8% had contact to a known case, 20.6% were travel acquired, and 16.9% are a result of community transmission.

Hospitalizations have also gone up by 1, bringing that number to 16. Right now, health officials are monitoring 17 active cases. The total number of people that have tested positive for the virus in Humboldt County is now 136.
