One person dead in Blue Lake armed robbery

BLUE LAKE, Calif. (KIEM) – We are hearing reports of an armed robbery that occurred shortly before 10 p.m. at the Patriot Gas Station in Blue Lake.

According to the police scanner, one person has sustained a gun shot wound. There is no word on that person’s condition.

This is a developing story. A Redwood News reporter is headed to the scene and we will provide updates as they become available.

Update 10:14 p.m. – Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is reporting one person is dead and a potential suspect has been detained.
