Public Health reports 3 Covid-19 cases among residents, 6 among non-residents Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Three new cases of Covid-19 are reported by the Public Health Department Wednesday bringing the total number of residents who have contracted the virus to 157.

In addition to these 3 cases, 6 additional people tested positive. Since they were here visiting family and friends and don’t reside in Humboldt, those 6 cases are not included in our total.

Recoveries have gone up by one bringing that number to 134. At the moment, health officials are monitoring 19 active cases.

Of the total cases, 95 had contact to a known case, 35 were travel related, and 23 were a result of community transmission. Right now, 4 cases are still under investigation.
