HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)- In less than twenty- four hours Eureka The Pentecostal Church will host its annual community prayer walk. This year the walk will take a different form than ever before.
If you or someone you know would like to take part in the walk the church welcomes anyone to join them tomorrow for their special event.
The event is set to begin at 9 a.m. Last year residents gathered outside the church prior to the walk, but this year due to Covid-19, things will look a lot different.
The church asks that people drive up in their vehicles to the church parking lot. When everyone has arrived, selected pastors from neighboring churches will speak on a lift.
When this is complete residents can choose which areas in the community they would like to walk at. walks are expected to be held in Arcata, Fortuna, eureka, McKinleyville, and Rio Dell.
The walk gives people the opportunity to pray in communities and workplaces.
